Octavio Llano-Mestres was born in the Sonoran desert and raised on the shores of the Sea of Cortez, Octavio Llano grew up drawing, writing and fishing for marlin. The bilingual, bibliomaniacal product of many enlightening journeys, he grew up with a passion for travel and narrative. Octavio attended Parsons the New School for Design in New York for a B.F.A in Animation and Illustration and later USC School of Cinematic Arts for an MFA in Film and Television with a focus on Directing. Specializing in Character Design and 2D Animation, Octavio’s artistic execution of concepts explores compelling narrative and ideas on different mediums. He has spent time working between México and New York with production companies like CANANA FILMS, TV AZTECA, GUAYMASTV and NYC-based animation studios like OMEGA DARLING. Octavio’s work reflects a comprehension of true collaboration and communication that transcends language and culture.
