Born in Malaysia in 1981 and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Gilbert Le began making films at the age of seven using his father’s home camcorder while documenting family vacations as a way to tell stories. He graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California, 2006 in film and was fortunate to direct his first feature film in 2005 at the age of 23 while taking a year off from film school. The film was picked up by Warner Bros home video.
Still crafting his abilities, Gilbert has since written two full-length feature scripts and a short film all-relating to the subject of War. Gilbert has edited and shot content throughout his career and as recently as 2012 worked as a freelance cinematographer for the Obama re-election campaign.
He was fortunate to travel to places like Ethiopia, Haiti, Morocco, Moscow and Brazil using his ability to direct, edit and shoot. Gilbert is currently living in NYC working on fashion films for elite fashion designers and models such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Zac Posen and supermodel Coco Rocha.
Gilbert hopes to define his voice as a filmmaker in this industry while working with Ardomi to push his creative ability as a director/writer and to continue to challenge himself with meticulously visually stunning work well into 2015.
